Ofcom compliance, ofcom broadcasting code

 Broadcasting Compliance

Experienced and reliable compliance is vital for broadcasters.  IQ Broadcast can protect your brand, your editorial values and help you fulfil your statutory requirements according to the Ofcom compliance code.

IQ Broadcasting can conduct due diligence with regard to all pre-launch editorial and regulatory compliance, including the creation of appropriate editorial guidelines.

If your organisation has been the subject of an ‘in breach’ Ofcom finding, an upheld privacy or fairness complaint or, worse, has been fined or threatened with a sanction, it is not too late to turn things round. We can help you to:

• Set up a compliance procedure for live and pre-recorded programmes
• Put in place an automated compliance process
• Train your staff to use a new or improved compliance procedure
• Produce ‘how to comply’ guides
• Understand your regulatory commitments

Ofcom Compliance Recording

In addition we also provide permanent archiving all  of your broadcasted content which can be used as an offline library by the client.

EPG/IPG Services:

We can produce, manage and upload all SKY EPG schedules to BSkyB platform.

Electronic program guides (EPGs) and interactive program guides (IPGs) are menu-based systems that provide users of television, radio and other media applications with continuously updated menus displaying broadcast programming or scheduling information for current and upcoming programming. Some guides also feature backward scrolling to promote their catch up content. Our interactive menus are generated entirely within local receiving or display equipment using raw scheduling data sent by individual broadcast stations or centralized scheduling information providers.

Our EPG/IPG service will allow your viewers and radio listeners to

  • navigate scheduling information menus interactively,
  • selecting and discovering programming by time, title, channel or genre.
